VSS Study Experience: Tamara Tadej

Introduce yourself, tell us a little about yourself and why you enrolled in the Polytechnic of Security Studies. My name is Tamara Tadej. I am an occupational safety expert with more than 15 years of experience. I am currently in the second year of a specialist graduate professional study at the Polytechnic of Security Studies. I have always been interested in safety and security at work, which motivated me to enroll in an undergraduate professional study in safety and continue training at the Polytechnic. I enrolled in this course because it offers advanced, practical skills and knowledge necessary for the management and organization of safety, occupational health and environmental protection, which is in line with my professional goals. Do you think VSS was worth it? Yes, I think that VSS was well worth it. The study program provided me with a deep understanding of safety standards as well as practical skills that I use every day at work. The study was crucial for my professional development. I consider myself a person who likes to think outside the box, which this study certainly supports. What was the biggest challenge of studying? The biggest challenge of studying was harmonizing professional and private obligations with academic requirements. It was challenging to manage time and energy between professional, academic and personal commitments. But that challenge helped me improve my time management skills and become more efficient in organizing my daily tasks. Would you recommend the Polytechnic of Security Studies? I would absolutely recommend the Polytechnic of Security Studies. The program is comprehensive, adapted to the needs of each individual and offers practical knowledge essential for my profession. The experience gained at the polytechnic allowed me to handle complex tasks more easily. Do you have any recommendations for us? What could they do better for future students? My recommendation would be to increase the number of practical workshops and cooperation with companies that are successful in implementing safety and security measures at work. Students would benefit from more opportunities to gain practical experience through projects or internships during their studies. Also, it would be useful to organize additional seminars and workshops on the latest technologies and trends in security so that students stay abreast of changes in the industry.
